Tourism revenue in Cyprus recorded a sharp drop on an annual basis in June and in the fist six months of this year, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat) show, CNA reports.
In particular, on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in June 2020 reached €6.7 mn compared to €350.4 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a fall of 98.1%.
For the period January – June 2020, revenue from tourism is estimated at €122.0 mn compared to €1.003,2 mn in the corresponding period of 2019, showing a decrease of 87.8%.
