Greek government: No levies on UK imports and only relevant VAT

No levies will be placed on imports from the United Kingdom to Greece – retroactive to Jan. 1, 2021 – a relevant alternate minister clarified on Friday, only relevant VAT taxes upon import, naftemporiki.gr reports.

Nevertheless, goods imported through third countries via the UK will be eligible for the imposition of levies, Greek Minister Miltiades Varvitsiotis, who chairs an inter-ministerial committee for Brexit, said.
