The pandemic crisis and the implementation of the national strategy for tourism was the focus of the Deputy Ministry for 2021, Savvas Perdios said Thursday, during a press conference at the Presidential Palace. He unveiled the actions and steps taken in the last year and spoke of the plans for 2022, saying that he is optimistic. “2022 will be a better year than 2021”, Deputy Minister said, CNA reports.
Perdios noted that so far we have reached 50% of arrivals compared to 2019 and the revenue is expected to reach 60% of 2019. He said that although the situation is vague in light of the new variant, the Deputy Ministry continues with its plans and works tirelessly to implement the strategy set for Cyprus` tourism product.
