The Greek public will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the theater, literature, and music of Israel through events scheduled from May 22 to 25, the Israeli embassy said, according to ANA.
Three internationally acclaimed personalities from Israel have been invited to Greece: multidisciplinary artist Jason Danino Holt, author Dror Mishani, and jazz musician Stav.
According to the schedule, Jason Danino Holt will present the five-hour participatory theatrical performance “Not Letting It In” at 18:00 on Sunday (May 22), at Bios Romantso. It will include a group from Tel Aviv and Athens exchanging personal confessions around a table.
At 20:30 on Monday, detective novel writer Dror Mishani will present his story “Three”, his first book to be translated into Greek, and will chat with journalist and author Nikos Kourmoulis. Introducing them will be detective novelist Petros Markaris. There will be a live translation into Greek. Dror Mishani, an author translated into over 15 languages whose works have also been awarded by Israel, Sweden, France and Germany, will speak at Public on Syntagma Square. The event is free of charge.
Stav will participate in the “21st Athens” in Technopolis (Gazi neighborhood of Athens), dedicated this year to female jazz musicians (22:00 on May 25). A pianist and composer, Stav Achai began her musical career with classical training and expanded into jazz, rock, and pop. Her music incorporates elements of minimalism, African music, rock, and jazz. Entrance is free to the public.
