Greek Defense Minister to meet with visiting Israeli counterpart in Athens

Greece’s Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos is to meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Israel Benjamin Gantz, who is paying a two-day official visit to Greece on Thursday and Friday, ANA reports.
The visit, the same announcement said, offers the opportunity for the two countries to reaffirm the significance of the strong, enduring ties of friendship between them, as well as their strategic relations for defence, security and stability, along with the prosperity of the wider region.
The high level of the bilateral relations between Greece and Israel, as well as their common will to proceed together with the enhancement and deepening of their cooperation in defence and to operate as pillars of stability and security in the region of the Eastern Mediterranean in the context of the international law, are expected to be discussed, among others, at their meeting.
