Greece and Australia deal to avoid double taxation boosts economic relations

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, in an interview with the Australian expatriate newspaper “Hellenic Herald”, underlined the great potential for strengthening cooperation with Australia and the great interest of the Greek government, ANA reports.
“Strengthening and diversifying our commercial transactions is high on the agenda of the talks. The bilateral agreement under negotiation to avoid double taxation is oriented in this direction, the successful conclusion of which will certainly give new impetus to our bilateral economic relations,” he noted.
Fragogiannis wanted to send “from Greece, a message of optimism to the people of Australia as a whole and the Greeks of Australia in particular”.
