Tourist arrivals in Cyprus surpass 3 million in January – November 2022

Tourist arrivals exceeded 3 million for the period of January – November 2022, surpassing the arrivals of full-year 2021 despite the loss of the Russian market due to the war in Ukraine and the ensuing western sanctions against Russia, CNA reports.

Cyprus experienced a boom in the number of trips by tourists in September 2021, as 339,242 people visited the island, the Statistics Service of Cyprus has revealed. According to the authority, this figure is 288.4 percent higher than the corresponding time in 2020, when 87,334 tourist arrivals were registered.
