The Halkidiki Tourist Organization was in Milan, Italy, to promote and advertise the destination within the framework of the international tourism exhibition BIT 2025.
The executives of TOX and the Region of Central Macedonia held a number of targeted meetings with tourist agencies, journalists, and bloggers, stirring up the interest of Italians in our destination. Another positive element in this joint effort for the new season is the direct air connection between Milan’s Malpensa airport and Thessaloniki’s Macedonia airport with EasyJet.
On February 10, TOX and PKM executives participated in the excellent event on the theme “Democracy between people and power”, a meeting in Milan for the World Greek Language Day at the Napoleonic Hall of the State University of Milan, organized by the Greek Community of Milan.
In parallel with the BIT International Tourism Fair, TOX’s Public Relations Manager for the Italian market, Ms. Eleni Sarikosta, organized an event – a presentation of Halkidiki, Central Macedonia, Pieria, and Thessaloniki to Travel Agents, Tourist Offices, Journalists and Bloggers.
Another successful event in Milan, aims to present and renew the close ties that the Halkidiki Tourist Organization has built mainly with the Italian market, Central Macedonia, the Thessaloniki Tourist Organization, and at the same time to introduce Olympus Riviera.
Present was the Director of the Halkidiki Tourist Organization Mr. Giorgos Broutzas, the Director of the Tourism Directorate of the Region of Central Macedonia Mr. Leonidas Tsiantis, the Director of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, Ms. Kyriaki Oudadzi, and the representative of the Pierian Tourism Development & Promotion Organization, Ms. Vasileia Gagasidou, who, with their presentations and promotional videos, depicted Halkidiki, Central Macedonia, Thessaloniki and the Olympus Riviera, areas where history, culture, nature, and gastronomy underline their identity.
At the same event, the Director of the Tuscany Tourism Promotion Organization (Toscana Promozione Turistica) Francesco Tapinassi, and the Public Relations Manager Clara Svanera announced new initiatives for the continuation of synergies and projects that will increasingly unite our region and Tuscany, places rich in history, traditions, and flavors.
The event was honored with the presence of, among others, the Consul of Greece in Milan, Mr. Nikolas Sakkaris, the President of the Greek Community of Milan, Ms. Sofia Zafeiropoulou, the Head of the Greek National Tourism Organization in Milan, Ms. Eleni Gavriilidou, the President of GIST (Italian Association of Travel Writers), Ms. Sabrina Talarico, and the Sales Executive of Aegean Airlines, Ms. Maria Terranova.
