The Region of Crete, as part of its strategy to promote the island as an ideal tourist destination all year round, participated in the Workshop “Choose Greece – Choose Crete” that took place in Bucharest.
This Workshop was an excellent opportunity for the Region of Crete to present the high level of tourism services and the unique beauties of the island in a market with particular dynamics and with steady growth trends in recent years.
At the presentation, attendees got a “taste” of the diversity and authenticity of Crete, while B2B meetings were held with tourism professionals and travel agencies, which confirmed the interest and enthusiasm of Romanians for Crete.
The Region’s mission was attended by the head of the tourism department of P.E.R., Manolis Markantonakis, and the Head of Planning and Development of the Tourism Department of the Region of Crete, Olga Milioni.
The Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Dr. Kyriakos Kotsoglou, stated in this regard: “Our Balkan neighbors always consider Crete as a “must see” destination and the Romanians are the ones who support it in the most consistent way, increasing their traffic every year. Thus, every opportunity for our presence in Romania will become another page of recognition and promotion of Crete, Everywhere!
