The Region of Crete, aiming to strengthen the tourism promotion of the island in the Serbian market, participated in the promotion workshop “Choose Greece – Choose Crete” held in Belgrade on May 15, 2025.
The participants in the event had the opportunity to appreciate the multidimensional and authentic character of Crete through the presentation of the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Dr. Kyriakos Kotsoglou, who emphasized the culture, gastronomy, and diversity of Crete. At the same time, many B2B meetings were held with tourism professionals, which confirmed how popular Greece and Crete are as a destination for Serbians.
From the Region of Crete, the Head of the Department of Tourism, P.E. Rethymno Manolis Markantonakis, and the Head of the Planning and Development Department of the Crete Regional Tourism Directorate, Olga Milioni.
The Deputy Regional Tourism Governor stated in this regard: “In Belgrad,e you meet people who have the same love as the Cretans for gastronomy, Orthodoxy, wonderful nature, good company. Now, our brothers the Serbs have discovered that a tourist continent has unfolded before them, calling them through its direct flights. Crete, Everywhere!!”.
