With the aim of strengthening the extroversion and international recognition of the Peloponnese, the Region will actively participate in Tourism Open Days, an important initiative that opens a channel of communication with the Austrian market. At the same time, a special workshop will be held that aims to strengthen the unified presence of the destination, its optimal promotion and the more effective participation of professionals.
The Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Thanos Michelogonas, underlined “that the Peloponnese region continues to consistently strengthen the extroversion and recognition of our destination in dynamic European markets. Implementing the plan of Regional Governor Dimitris Ptochos, we are utilizing every point of contact with important external audiences. Austria is a key market with high connectivity through both Athens International Airport and Kalamata International Airport.
Furthermore, it is a mature market where demand is largely determined by sustainable tourism products. Tourism Open Days is an excellent opportunity for Peloponnese professionals to meet their Austrian partners and promote their services. We invite everyone to actively participate in this joint effort.”
With this initiative, as emphasized, the Peloponnese confirms its strategic targeting of high-interest markets and reinforces the message that it is a destination of authentic experiences with a strong element of sustainability.
