An event to promote and promote the Greek tourism product in the Bosnian tourist market was held for the first time in Sarajevo, arousing the strong interest of Bosnian visitors for holidays in Greece.
The event was organized on Thursday, September 25, 2025 by the Foreign Service of the GNTO Serbia in cooperation with the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Sarajevo. Guests at the event were Tour Operators, Journalists of the Bosnian tourism report, a representative of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism of the Sarajevo Canton, airport representatives, a representative of the Sarajevo Tourist Organization, etc.
At the opening of the event, a greeting was delivered by the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Sarajevo, Ioanna Efthymiadou, who expressed her satisfaction for the first time holding such an event. In the same spirit, the Head of the Greek Tourism Office, Mr. Iakovos Kollaros, noted that this effort could be the impetus for strengthening tourism cooperation between the two states.
Subsequently, the Head of the Greek National Tourist Office in Serbia, Mr. Georgios Kakutis, presented the Greek tourism product. The main points of his presentation were the development of the Greek Tourism Strategic Plan, the analysis of thematic tourism products by region, as well as the presentation of the main infrastructures.
During the round of talks with the participants, the necessity of a direct connection between the two capitals was emphasized, while the strong interest of the Bosnian tourism market in creating holiday packages in Greece was noted.
