The strong interest of the Serbian market in the destinations of the Peloponnese was established during a special promotion event organized by the GNTO Serbia Service on October 9, 2025, in collaboration with the Embassy of Greece in Belgrade.
The action is a continuation of the initiatives of the GNTO in the past period for the systematic promotion of Greek destinations, and in particular the Peloponnese, to Serbian travelers, as the product it offers largely coincides with the preferences of visitors from the neighboring country.
The event, which took place at the Greek embassy residence, was attended by the president of the Association of Travel Agents of Serbia (YUTA), Aleksandar Senicic, t.os from the largest cities in Serbia, journalists of the tourism reportage, domestic bloggers and influencers, representatives of Greek organizations in Serbia, etc. The Ambassador of Greece in Belgrade, Maria Levanti, delivered a welcome address, while the coordination was carried out by the Head of the GNTO Serbia Service, Giorgos Kakutis.
The representatives of the Peloponnese Region, Paraskevi Gialou and Nikos Stakias, highlighted the main thematic products of the Region (sun/sea, cultural, gastronomic, religious tourism and adventure tourism), while they made special mention of the connectivity of the destination and the high level of infrastructure it has.

A special moment was the presentation by the Serbian travel journalist, Ivana Dukcevic Buda, of the photographic material from her trip to the southern Peloponnese in July 2023, as part of a special press trip organized by the Greek National Tourist Board of Serbia with the Peloponnese Region.

The event concluded with a cocktail, during which the opportunity was given to strengthen networking between the two sides, with the aim of developing further collaborations in the near future.
