Their strong interest in restarting direct charter flights from Belgrade to Chios was expressed by representatives of the most important tos of the Serbian capital (Filip Travel, Argus Tours, Ponte Travel), who visited the island from 19 to 23 October 2025 as part of a familiarization trip.

The fam trip was organized by the GNTO Serbia Service, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce of Chios and was also attended by Serbian bloggers specializing in cultural experiences. The members of the Serbian delegation were accompanied by the head of the GNTO Serbia Service, Giorgos Kakutis, the deputy mayor of Chios Tourism, Giorgos Christakis, and the representative of the Chios Chamber of Commerce, Giorgos Passas.
The Serbian participants toured the most important cultural, religious and gastronomic resources of Chios, such as Anavatos, Avgonyma, Kampos, Pyrgi, Mastichochoria, Mavra Volia, Nea Moni, the Mastic Museum, a traditional distillery, etc., visited hotels in the city and other areas of the island, while also meeting with representatives of local tourist organizations and associations.
Upon their departure, they expressed their enthusiasm for the monuments they visited, the experiences they had and the quality of the tourist infrastructure offered, which is already reflected in relevant articles promoting the destination on Serbian websites.
