About 90 percent of Greek property owners (about 6.4 million) who pay the single property tax known as ENFIA will pay less, the same or almost the same tax as last year, the finance ministry said on Friday.
“The overall ENFIA bill for 2016 will range in the same level as last year and reports that claim the overall ENFIA will rise are not true,” the ministry said in a press release. “What does correspond to the truth is the fact that this year’s ENFIA there’s a redistribution of burdens from the small to the large assets,” it added.
