Greek Environment & Energy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis met with US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt on Thursday and said following the meeting that the US had expanded its presence in the energy sector in Greece, ANA reports.
ONEX (Eleusis shipyards) and Black Summit (Alexandroupolis port) with the help of DFC (US International Development Finance Corporation), Quantum Energy Partners (wind power), National Energy (wind and solar), General Electric (wind farm in Fokida, partly funded by Fortress Investment Group), Blink (electromobility’s chargers) and Tesla (electric cars).
In terms of the liquified natural gas (LNG), the United States provided almost half of Greece’s imported gas in the first half of 2020, the ministry said. LNG supplies from the US nearly quadrupled, compared to the first half of 2019.
