President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades said on Friday that the investments for the development of the port and marina of Larnaka will exceed one billion euro and will bring additional economic benefits and annual revenue of 120 million euro, CNA reports.
“Today is a special and important day for all people of Larnaka, since a justified request of almost three decades which concerns the development of the port and marina of the city, is finally entering the path of its implementation,” the President said in his address at the signing ceremony of the contract for the development of the port and marina of the city.
The project was awarded after an international tender to the Cypriot-Israeli consortium Alexandrou Corporate Services Ltd and Eldeman Holding BV.
