The Republic of Cyprus issued the most first residence permits to citizens from India, Russia, Nepal, Syria, and the Philippines in 2020, according to data released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU, CNA reports.
According to the same numbers, Cyprus issued first residence permits to a total of 16,910 persons in 2020, out of a total of 2.2 million first residence permits issued in the European Union in the same year.
