The Municipal Committee of the Municipality of Sithonia has determined the terms of the oral and public auction for the lease of an area of ??12,317.96 sq m, which is located on the “Achlada” beach of the Municipal Community of Sarti.
As stated in this regard, according to an earlier decision of the Municipal Committee, the lease agreement with the company “HAPPY HOLIDAYS TOURISM – COMMERCIAL ANONYME COMPANY FOR THE OPERATION OF REAL ESTATE AND HOTEL FACILITIES” has expired ipso jure, and the above company no longer retains the legal right to use the property. However, it reserves the right to file administrative or judicial applications and appeals, requesting the suspension of the new tender procedure, the outcome of which is, as is understandable, at the discretion of the competent administrative and judicial authorities. For this reason, it is expressly provided that the Municipality of Sithonia is not liable for any compensation to the participants in the new tender procedure, in the event of its suspension or cancellation following the success of the above legal remedies or means.
In their offer, the participants must submit a technical description which will include a brief presentation of the method of exploitation of the property and their basic investment plan with an indicative implementation schedule of up to 3 years from the start of the lease. The investment will be carried out exclusively at the expense of the lessee, without any obligation to participate or compensate by the Municipality.
The duration of the lease has been set at 30 years. The lease may be extended for another 10 years, provided that the lessee pays a 10% increase in the rent. The minimum bid limit has been set at 50,000 euros per year. Submitted bids must be accompanied by a participation guarantee letter. The participation guarantee letter must be issued by credit institutions or other legal entities operating legally, have a duration of at least one year and be equal to 10% of the minimum first bid price per year, amounting to 5,000 euros.
