Significant upgrade works on the property are planned, funded through the Recovery and Resilience Facility
The Hellenic Public Properties Company (ETAD), a company under the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP), signed last Monday a lease agreement with the Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni for the building that currently houses the citys Town Hall.
This is an effective and efficient cooperation between ETAD and Local Government, aiming both to support social needs and to significantly upgrade the property with funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, with the related works already underway.
The contract concerns the leasing of a total area of 14,758.03 sq.m., which includes, apart from the Town Hall, the Ionia Cultural Center and the adjacent refreshment area and restaurant. The duration of the lease is set at twenty-five years from the signing of the agreement, with the Municipality paying an annual rent. The full amount of the rent is covered by the adjacent business, while part of it will be paid to the Municipality.
Within the framework of the agreement, the Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni is responsible for the use, care and expenses necessary to meet its building needs (Town Hall Cultural Center), continuing to be housed in these facilities, as well as for the management of the entire leased area, within which it is required to carry out a series of works to ensure the smooth operation of all building infrastructures.
