Tripinview is an innovative web platform and mobile application for travelers from all over the world. It presents the entire coastline of countries that are beach and sun destinations, in a unique way with geotagged aerial photos and aerial video.
It is available on personal computers and Smartphones that allows users to enjoy 300 hours of High Definition video and 800.000 High Definition photos of the coastline, taken from a helicopter. The whole content at this moment illustrates 40.000 kilometers of the Mediterranean coastline (meter by meter) of the following countries: Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Malta, Monaco and Turkey.
The basic concept of the website, is to enable people to plan their trips to the Mediterranean visually. Want to check out a section of Greek coastline to see what the beaches look like? Would you like to see centuries old Venetian castles from the air? Would you like to see the layout of a marina you might want to sail into? TripInView lets you do this, and much, much more. Think something along the lines of Google Earth (but faster and with video), combined with a hotel booking site and you might get close to describing it. Actually, not really, this probably does it a disservice. It is a very useful and intuitive tool to help you plan a trip to the coastal regions of the Mediterranean.
It does this by combining thousands of photos and hundreds of hours of video taken by helicopter. As a user, you can then zoom in and out of locations, play videos, look at local accommodation, and find out about the weather. This way, you can plan your own trip, based on what you see.
