Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, is currently being held in Barcelona. The Greek presence is strong, as 25 Greek companies and public bodies, such as Attica Administrative Region, participate in the Congress.
Minister for Digital Policy, Media & Telecommunications Nikos Pappas visited the Greek stand on Monday and praised Greece’s enviable labor force, while stressing that digital technologies can improve productivity and daily life, and may be utilized in such a way, so that society becomes more functional, fair and democratic. At this stage of technological development, the State should ensure, via its regulatory authorities, that no Greek citizen is excluded from these significant advances or from access to these new technologies, said Mr. Pappas.
