Travelweekly.co.uk reports that Thomson has opened a new holiday design store featuring virtual reality headsets, interactive maps and self-service computers and adds:
The virtual reality headsets will give ‘taster’ experiences, such as a trip onboard Tui Discovery or viewing premium seats on 787 Dreamliners.
An ATM stocking euros, dollars and sterling will also be installed, alongside a travel money desk.
The self-service computers will allow customers to print off boarding passes, complete advance passenger information and pay off holiday balances.
Digital interactive maps will be available for customers at every stage of the booking process, rather than there only being one at the front of the store.
