Greece is an exporter of innovation and technology and not just one of the world’s most attractive tourist destinations. That was the message successfully delivered by the country through its national pavillion in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ANA reports.
MWC announced that 480 business meetings held in the Greek pavilion and the 4YFN, of which 20 pct were expected to result in partnership agreements. Meetings were held with delegations from the US, Russia, Canada, Sweden, Spain, Argentina, Turkey, Estonia, China, France, Brazil, Invest in Bavaria, Invest in Great Britain, Enterprise Holland, The Hague Business Agency and Catalunya’s innovation organisation.
Greece’s first participation in 4YFN also presented outstanding results for Greek startup enterprises, with more than 40 meetings held with candidate customers or publishers, accelerators and incubators from Finland and Spain.
The country’s participation included: Apifon, Baggagement, Centaur Analytics (Centaur.ag), Collectives, Cytech, DANAOS, Direct Solutions, FASMETRICS, Gemcraft Games, Happyland Entertainment, InAccel, Industry Disruptors Game Changers, INLIFE, Invent ICT, METIS CYBERTECHNOLOGY, Motivian, Nous4Health, Noveltech, CityZenApp.gr (SaaS Platform), Propulsion Analytics, Protonyx Data Services, Purposeful, Regate, SBOING.NET, SetelHellas, SoftOne, SOFTWeb, Space Hellas, Starttech Ventures, Syncbnb, TELENAVIS, Tourismart, Traptics, Workathlon.
Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, organised by the GSMA and took place in the Mobile World Capital, Barcelona, 26 February – 1 March 2018.
Launched in September 2015, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a 17 point plan to end poverty, halt climate change and fight injustice and inequality by 2030. For 2018, the GSMA has partnered with Barcelona artists, Brosmind, to illustrate the unique role mobile is playing in supporting the SDGs. Each character creates a visual representation of the mobile industry impact in supporting the goals.
