Mobile banking customers increase sharply across Greece during 2017

The number of active mobile banking customers in Greece surpassed one million in 2017 from around 550,000 in the previous year, with the value of transactions jumping to 1.6 billion euros from 800 million over the same periods, respectively, according to ANA.

Bank officials told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) that Greek banks were in the process of a digital transformation, a fact that will further strengthen alternative digital networks for the benefit of the economy and tourism.
