“We are very pleased to be hosting the conference of the International Telecommunication Union in Greece for the 5th generation of telecommunication technologies,” Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas noted in statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) and public broadcaster ERT on Thursday.
He made the statements at the opening day of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) conference, which focuses on digitizing societies as part of a greater plan to turn Europe into a Gigabit society by 2025. The two-day conference is taking place at the Digital Policy Ministry.
