“We have been discussing with Volkswagen for some time now, we are developing a viability plan – what we call a feasibility study – related to e-mobility,” Kostas Fragogiannis, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion, noted in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio station on Thursday on the visit of executives of the German car industry to Greece.
“We have been working with them, welcoming them these days to Kavala and Thassos in order to complete this feasibility study and to decide whether and under what conditions the project will proceed or not. Thassos is a Greek island, which could be the place where Volkswagen could try new technologies and innovations in the field of e-mobility and autonomous driving. We will look at other islands, and hopefully, within the next two months this plan will be finalized and then we will be able to announce further details about this project,” the deputy minister explained.
