Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi in an interview with ‘Thema’ on Sunday presented a legislative initiative in cooperation with the foreign ministry for the introduction of a visa for the “digital nomads”, the new global category of workers who work remotely and are looking for attractive destinations to settle, ANA reports.
The introduction of a special purpose residence permit, “a digital visa”, as he characterized it, “will be combined with tax facilities that will lead to more permanent investments,” Mitarachi stated, clarifying that the beneficiaries of this new visa must meet certain criteria, mainly income ones.
