WTM 2025 | Trip.com’s new AI booking tool for fully personalized travel bookings

With innovation and collaborative development as its central message, Chinese travel services giant Trip.com Group is making a strong return to the international tourism exhibition World Travel Market (WTM) 2025, which opens its doors in London today.

The company’s presence this year focuses on artificial intelligence and personalized travel experiences, with the presentation of Trip.Planner, a new AI tool that aspires to radically change the way we plan and carry out our trips.

Trip.Planner – The “smart” travel assistant
Trip.Planner, which officially premieres in the UK through WTM, is a comprehensive AI travel hub, designed to offer travelers personalized itineraries, recommendations and integrated real-time bookings for flights and trains to hotels and attractions.

With access to over 20 million points of interest worldwide, the tool adapts to the style of every traveler, whether they are a culture lover, a family or a traveler on a budget.

Through verified data, up-to-date prices and real-time opening hours, Trip.Planner acts as a trusted “digital concierge”, ready to suggest, modify or confirm every stage of the trip.

Andy Washington, General Manager Europe of Trip.com Group, said: “We are committed to creating smarter travel and stronger partnerships.

Europe continues to be a key growth region for Trip.com, where the company has expanded its user base, partnerships and product offerings over the past eight years.

The group continues to record solid growth in its core European markets, driven by growing demand for integrated travel solutions and deepening collaboration with local partners.”

“Why Travel?” – The Emotional Side of Tourism
Along with its technological innovation, Trip.com Group is presenting at WTM its new global report “Why Travel?”, created in partnership with Google. The research examines how emotion, culture and psychology of the traveler influence their decisions.

It highlights five key trends, with a focus on wellness, sustainability, cultural immersion and the growing role of social media in destination choice.

The research findings will form the basis for discussions at WTM panels, where Trip.com Group executives will participate with presentations on artificial intelligence, sustainability and trust in the travel industry.

Partnership strategy
Trip.com Group consistently invests in partnerships with airlines, hotel chains and tourism organizations, pursuing joint campaigns and data-driven marketing programs that yield measurable results. Partners and interested parties can visit booth S3-520 to explore new collaboration opportunities.
