The Athens area water and sewage company (EYDAP) will not be privatized, Infrastructure & Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis said on Thursday to Parapolitika 09.1 FM radio, refuting what he called fake news and hypocrisy by SYRIZA, ANA reports.
Karamanlis clarified that 60% of EYDAP belongs to the Greek state, but the company is on the stock exchange. What will be privatized is the network’s maintenance which costs the state 26.5 million euros annually.
