French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte visited the Acropolis on Friday night, with photos posted on social media, greekcitytimes.com reports.
The French President is seen embracing his wife and looking at the Erechtheion and the Caryatids.
Following dinner at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, which “closed the curtain” of the summit for EUMED9 leaders, the French couple visited the Acropolis, accompanied by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his wife.
The Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni was present at the private tour that took place on Friday night at the request of the French president.
