Primary surplus increased by reduced spending in November

The Greek Ministry of Finances announced that the primary surplus amounted to 4.34 billion euros at the end of November compared to 3.566 billion euros in the corresponding period last year, and about 2.65 billion above targets, due to reduced expenses.

The general government deficit came to 1.236 billion euros compared to a deficit of 1,827 billion euros in the same period last year.

This sum does not include the cost of servicing the public debt, as well as local government bodies and pension funds.
