During her visit to Jerusalem, Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura signed an agreement with her Israeli counterpart Yariv Levin reaffirming their intention to encourage closer ties in tourism between the two countries, through joint action aiming to boost the flow of tourists between Greece and Israel and to absorb a large share of the international market.
They also examined the possibility of joint tourist packages and cruise packages targeting overseas markets
The two countries signed a Joint Declaration for Cooperation in Tourism, on the sidelines of the recent trip of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Jerusalem at the head of a government delegation.
