ELA to Greek banks reduced again by 100 million euros

The Bank of Greece has announced that the European Central Bank’s Governing Council has reduced the Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) for Greek banks by 100 million euros.

According to the Bank of Greece’s statement, the new ELA ceiling of 71.3 billion euros reflects an improvement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks, amid a reduction of uncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposits flows.
