As already hinted by group CEO last week, Metka Group announced on 29 March the signing of a new 28-month EPC contract with Amandi Energy Ltd for a new power plant in Ghana in consortium with GE for a 192MW CCGT plant in Takoradi.
The contract value for Metka is c$174m (€155m) and implementation of the project will commence upon completion of financing, currently under finalization.
The company’s backlog currently stands at €1.2bn, of which 68% refers to international projects (including a c€0.5bn project in Syria, which is currently suspended).
