Greece's primary surplus at 2.4 billion euros during first 4 months of 2016

The Greek Ministry of Finance published its figures on the implementation of the state budget between January and April 2016 showing that the primary surplus during this period amounted to 2.376 billion euros, greatly exceeding the initial goal for 560 million euros.

The regular budget revenue during the four-month period amounted to 14.107 billion euros, exceeding the initial target by 325 million euros. Furthermore, expenses amounted to 16.167 billion euros, about 2.28 billion euros less than the set target.
