The first installment of loan tranches to Greece, amounting to 7.5 billion euros, will be disbursed by June 13, a finance ministry source said on Wednesday.
“We are ready for the disbursement of the installment. I expect the installment will be disbursed on Monday week,” he said.
According to the same official, before the European Stability Mechanism decides the disbursement of the specific installment, which is the first out of a total of 10.3-billion-euro loan tranche, the institutions must write an implementation report and the memorandum documents must be ratified by five EU member-state parliaments.
The source said there was not yet any agreement with the institutions regarding non-performing loans guaranteed by the Greek state, noting that this issue might be left until later or possibly discussed in a video conference call between the institutions and Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, given that Economy Minister George Stathakis was going to be in Paris for an OECD meeting.
