ECB reduces again ELA ceiling for Greek banks to 68.1 billion euros

The Bank of Greece announced on Thursday the request by the European Central Bank to reduce the ceiling of the Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) to Greek banks to by 1 billion euros.

The new ELA ceiling for Greek banks is now 68.1 billion euros and this reduction reflects an improvement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks, amid a reduction of uncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposits flows.
