Wage employment in Greece's private sector up during July

Wage employment in Greece grew in July with the hiring/dismissal balance showing a surplus of 19,281 job positions in the month, official figures showed on Thursday.

A report by the “Ergani” IT system of the Labor ministry, showed that new hirings totaled 201,793 in July, while dismissals totaled 182,512 in the month.

In the January-July period, new hirings totaled 1,265,383 job positions, while dismissals amounted to 1,011,438.
