July’s and August’s salaries were given to the employees of supermarket Marinopoulos. Using its pre-financing, of 10 million Euros, the company will also pay the rents of the supermarkets all around the country. On Monday, suppliers will start bringing goods to the shops.
Marinopoulos was on the verge of bankruptcy and 11.000 employees were about το lose their jobs but on 4th of September, the company signed a deal for its rescue with supermarket Sklavenitis.
