The latest figures published by the Greek statistics authority ELSTAT show that the consumer price index in September 2016 compared with September 2015 decreased by 1.0%, the annual rate of change of the consumer price index was –1.7%.
The figures show that in September 2016 the index grew by 1.8% compared to August 2016. In September 2015, the monthly rate of change of the CPI was also 1.8%.
In the twelve-month period between October 2015 and September 2016, compared with the October 2014 to September 2015 period, the annual average rate of change of the CPI was –0.9%. The corresponding annual average rate of change of the CPI in the previous year (October 2014 to September 2015) was –2.0%.
