The last prior actions agreed with Greece’s lenders in order to complete the second review of the Greek programme will be tabled as amendments and voted on in Parliament on Friday.
The debate of a draft bill on fishing will begin before the plenum at 10:00 in the morning, with the relevant amendments attached, while the discussion is scheduled to end at 17:00 and any roll-call voting, if requested, is expected to end at 18:00.
Opposition parties had earlier voiced strong objections to the prospect of the remaining prior actions being tabled as amendments, when informed of the possibility by Parliament President Nikos Voutsis.
Main opposition New Democracy Parliamentary Group Secretary Kostas Tsiaras expressed ND’s “complete disagreement” with the “manner that the government legislates” and reported that the other parties in Parliament were similarly opposed.
