Summer sales in Greece will commence on July 10 and end on August 31, the Greek Confederation of Trade and Entrepreneurship said on Tuesday.
The union announced stores may open optionally on the first Sunday of sales, on July 16. During this period, stores are required to indicate on the product the original and the reduced price, and may optionally add the percentage of the sale on offer.
The confederation added it hoped turnover will be higher than last year due to the larger number of tourists in the country and urged consumers to make careful purchases.
