Greek parliament passes bill nationalising Thessaloniki transport

A bill for the nationalisation of Thessaloniki port’s public transport company OASTh was passed after a debate before the Parliament plenum on Wednesday, with the support ruling coalition SYRIZA and ANEL MPs.

The bill was opposed by main opposition New Democracy party, Golden Dawn, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the Potami party, whose MPs all voted against, while the Democratic Coalition and Centrists’ Union abstained.
