Greece’s Agriculture Development and Food Minister Evangelos Apostolou on Tuesday stressed the important role that the agriculture sector is called on to play in the reconstruction of Greece’s production model.
The minister was addressing the Eastern Macedonia-Thrace regional development conference, held in Komotini.
Apostolou stressed that Greece is entering a new phase where the end of the memoranda is visible and stressed the important role of production reconstruction.
Furthermore, he said that the government has implemented significant reforms in tax and pension issues as well as the absorption and management of EU funds.
Agrotourism is also considered to be a very advantageous sector of Greek economy.
