Registered unemployment up 3.07% in Greece during October

Registered unemployment rose 3.07 pct in October from September, totaling 824,517, the Workforce Employment Organisation (OAED) said on Monday.

OAED, in a monthly report, noted that 59.83 pct of registered unemployed were registered for more than 12 months and 40.17 pct for less than 12 months. Registered unemployment among women was more than 63 pct, while the majority of registered unemployed were aged between 30-54 years old (64 pct) and 92 pct were Greek citizens. Registered unemployed receiving unemployment benefit fell by 97,268 in October, down 28.04 pct from September.
