Thirty-four Greek companies joined forces to form “Ella-Dika Mas”, a group supporting sustainable production models among Greek businesses and contributing to the improvement of the national economy.
In a press conference on Tuesday, the group (whose name is a play on the words “Greek” and “ours”) announced that their members wish to keep production and their base of operations in Greece, and the ownership of their companies in Greek hands.
Their production models and operations, they noted , will contribute to the reduction of unemployment and the reinvestment of national wealth in Greece.
Some of the firms included in the group are Agrino, Cretan Olive Mill, Epsa, Ktima Gerovassiliou, Kyknos, Loux, Nitsiakos, Varvayianni Distillers, Vikos, and Vlahaki Eggs.
All 34 companies account for a turnover of 1 billion euros, and involve over 2,500 product codes, 4,400 employees and 64 production facilities across Greece. The group has adopted a logo with “Ella-Dika Mas” on over 2 billion items of products, to promote Greek products and raise public awareness about them.
