The National Bank of Greece on Wednesday announced that during a Board of Directors session Mr. Panayotis Aristidis Thomopoulos, submitted his resignation from the position of non-executive Board member and Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, effective as of 27/12/2017, in implementation of the succession plan as this had been announced in the relevant Announcement of the National Bank of Greece dated 26/4/2017, ANA reports.
The bank, in an announcement noted that the Board of Directors unanimously resolved upon its reconstitution into a body and upon the appointment of Mr. Costas Michaelides as new non-executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Costas Michaelides possesses exceptional experience of over 30 years in the banking sector, having served in top positions in financial institutions and international financial organisations.
