Foreign investors increased their exposure in the Greek stock market in December to 63.5 pct of the market’s capitalization (including the participation of Hellenic Financial Stability Fund) from 62.3 pct in November, and to 66.4 pct (excluding the participation of HFSF) from 64.8 pct over the same periods, respectively. Foreign investors’ participation the Greek market was 61.4 pct (including HFSF) and 64.3 pct (excluding HFSF) in December 2016, ANA reports.
Greek investors owned 36.4 pct of the market’s capitalization at the end of December. Foreign investors were net buyers with capital inflows of 72.66 pct, while they carried out 64.3 pct of market transactions in December (from 57.3 pct in November and 52 pct in December 2016). The value of transactions was 1.352 billion euros in December, up 21.1 pct from December and up 12.2 pct from December 2016. Average daily turnover was 71.17 million euros, up from 50.76 million in November and 57.39 million in December 2016.
