Greek Finance ministry sources on Wednesday denied a same-day press report claiming that a previously agreed to austerity measure, namely, a reduction in the tax-free annual income threshold, will be implemented a year earlier than planned.
The report was published in the Wednesday edition of the Athens daily newspaper “Nea”.
The same government sources denied that creditors, especially the IMF, are pushing for the stepped up measure, from 2020 to 2019.
